Runs by difficulty

  • blue 46.9 km
  • red 48.3 km
  • black 16.4 km

The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

  • 14 within 300 m
  • 88 within 1 km
  • 266 places in the valley

The closest one stands 78 m from a lift.

Is Courmayeur worth it?

Courmayeur sits on the Italian side of Mont Blanc, in the Aosta Valley, and the view of the Alps' highest massif is the main character here. The town has a life of its own apart from the slope -- an old street, stone houses and a reputation as a smart resort, not to be confused with French Chamonix on the far side of the mountain.

In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 71 km of pistes above the town, in the Chécrouit and Val Veny sectors -- one of the smaller areas in this set, but with a view no larger one can match. The runs are mostly intermediate and sunny, facing south.

The town sits at around 1,300 m, and the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car climbs to 3,466 m, up to the Mont Blanc glaciers -- that is high-mountain, off-piste terrain, not an ordinary lift. The season usually runs from December to April.

The price we give is a six-day adult ticket -- €355 from the high-season rate list (checked 13 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,295 km from Wrocław, 1,459 from Katowice and 1,535 from Kraków.
