Runs by difficulty

  • blue 27.8 km
  • red 8.2 km
  • black 0.8 km

The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

The colours under the axis show school-holiday traffic per week of winter 2026/2027, from the holidays chapter — the curve is a long-term average, the traffic is this one season. A green band marks a quiet week in a month with at least 70 % of the snowiest month’s snowfall. This season: 4 Jan – 17 Jan.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

  • 9 within 300 m
  • 20 within 1 km
  • 84 places in the valley

The closest one stands 31 m from a lift.

Is Zieleniec worth it?

Zieleniec lies in the Bystrzyckie Mountains above Duszniki-Zdrój, on a high plateau that catches its own microclimate -- one of the snowiest places in Poland, with a longer winter than the ranges around it. The resort has no single big slope but a dozen-odd smaller ones scattered across the area.

In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 37 km of pistes and more than thirty lifts -- the most in this set, though mostly short drag-lifts and single chairs rather than one linked system. The runs are mostly easy and intermediate.

The plateau sits high for the Sudetes, which is where the snow comes from rather than from the guns -- though snowmaking helps here too. The season can run longer than elsewhere in Poland, usually from December to March and sometimes beyond.

The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- 195 PLN from the high-season rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 122 km from Wrocław, 243 from Katowice and 319 from Kraków.
