Runs by difficulty
- blue 29.1 km
- red 33.0 km
- black 8.3 km
The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

How much snow is forecast
No snowfall is forecast for the days ahead — computed for 1,865 m above sea level.
This is a weather-model forecast, not a measurement taken on the mountain: it says how much snow is expected to fall. Forecast: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Data fetched 15 August, 05:26.

| night | -3° | -7° | -9° | -6° | -4° | -2° |
This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.
- 14 within 300 m
- 195 within 1 km
- 585 places in the valley
The closest one stands 140 m from a lift.

Is Schladming (Planai) worth it?
Schladming lies in Styria, at the foot of the Planai -- the mountain whose night slalom on the World Cup circuit draws tens of thousands of spectators each year. A gondola starts straight from the town, and Planai is one of four mountains linked in the 4-Berge-Skischaukel within Ski amadé.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 70 km of pistes on Planai and neighbouring Hochwurzen, and with the other mountains the area is larger still. The runs are mostly intermediate, wide and superbly groomed -- terrain for clocking up kilometres.
Planai reaches around 1,865 m and the descent returns almost to the town at 780 m, so the vertical is large. The season usually runs from December to April.
The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- €81.50 from the main-season counter rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 680 km from Wrocław, 673 from Katowice and 749 from Kraków.
