What makes Passo San Pellegrino - Falcade different
Passo San Pellegrino is a high pass between the Val di Fassa and Falcade in the Val Biois — and the altitude is the point here. The whole area sits high, the base station at about 1,770 m, and the Col Margherita cable car climbs above 2,500 m, with views of the Marmolada, the Pale di San Martino and the Civetta. The snow is better here than anywhere else in this set.
The skiing spreads across the pass and down toward Falcade: 88 runs and 18 lifts, 47 blue, 32 red and 9 black. This is an area with real choice, not a single Dolomite village with a handful of slopes — it is part of Dolomiti Superski, so from the same lifts you reach the neighbouring Trevalli areas.
The altitude shows in the numbers. December brings around 101 cm on average, November 95, and March still close to 90 — the most of any resort on this list. North-facing aspects and high runs hold the snow, so the season runs from late November to early April and ranks among the more snow-sure in the whole Dolomites.
An adult day pass costs €71 (the Ski Area San Pellegrino 2025/26 pricelist, checked August 2026); for longer stays you take the multi-day Dolomiti Superski pass, also sold flexibly online. Check prices with the operator before you travel, as they change each season. The drive from Poland runs through Austria and the Brenner — about 930 km from Katowice, closer than most Dolomite resorts, 1,003 from Kraków, 1,051 from Wrocław.
