Runs by difficulty

quiet moderate holiday peak too little snow or outside the holiday calendar snowy and quiet
The colours under the axis show school-holiday traffic per week of winter 2026/2027, from the holidays chapter — the curve is a long-term average, the traffic is this one season. A green band marks a quiet week in a month with at least 70 % of the snowiest month’s snowfall. This season: 4 Jan – 31 Jan.
This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Is Pec pod Sněžkou worth it?
Pec pod Sněžkou lies at the foot of Sněžka -- the highest peak of the Krkonoše and of the whole Czech Republic -- on its southern side, directly across the ridge from Polish Karpacz. It is part of the larger SkiResort Černá hora-Pec network, joined on one pass, though the slope at Pec itself is small.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 3 km of pistes at Pec itself -- a piece of a larger whole, not a measure of the full pass. The runs are mixed, from easy to one steeper line below the summit, served by a cable car and drag-lifts.
The slope climbs high onto the flank below Sněžka, so the snow holds well and snowmaking closes out the season. It usually runs from December to March.
The lift-pass price at Pec pod Sněžkou is dynamic -- the resort sets it by day and by how far ahead you buy, cheaper in advance, so we give no single figure; check it with the operator as you book. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 134 km from Wrocław, 312 from Katowice and 388 from Kraków.
