The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift
Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

- 15 places in the valley
The closest one stands 7 m from a lift.

What makes Val Senales (Maso Corto) different
Val Senales is a glacier at the very head of the Schnalstal valley in South Tyrol, and Maso Corto (Kurzras) is the last village below it, at around 2,000 m. From here the Gletscherbahn cable car carries you up toward the Grawand, above 3,200 m — one of the highest ski points in Italy. If what you want in this set is a resort where the season starts early and the snow is certain rather than promised, this is the one.
The terrain is compact: a dozen or so lifts and a network of mostly blue and red runs, with very few blacks. You ski from the glacier at the top down toward the valley, with no narrow steep bottlenecks. This is a mountain for families and for people who want to cruise wide, well-groomed pistes rather than chase a challenge — anyone counting on big mileage and a huge lift network will head further west, but if you want a quiet glacier without the crowds, this delivers exactly that.
Snow is rarely in short supply on the glacier — it holds its cover when the lower valleys run thin, so the season stretches from autumn long into spring. The weather model gives the valley base around 118 cm in November and 117 in December, but the point is higher up, on the ice. This is the same ice, in fact, in which Ötzi the Iceman — more than five thousand years old — was found in 1991, on the ridge above the valley, not far from today's pistes.
The pass is the Val Senales glacier's own ticket: the 6-day adult costs about €338 in the 2025/26 season (resort-provided, a fixed price). There is also the regional Ortler Skiarena pass, which for around €357 opens a dozen-plus other South Tyrol and Trentino resorts on top of the glacier. Check prices with the operator before you travel, as they change each season. The drive from Poland runs through the Brenner and Merano, then up the Schnalstal valley — about 907 km from Wałbrzych, 1,012 from Katowice, 1,035 from Wrocław, 1,088 from Kraków.
