Runs by difficulty
- blue 95.7 km
- red 37.6 km
- black 9.5 km
The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

How much snow is forecast
No snowfall is forecast for the days ahead — computed for 2,465 m above sea level.
This is a weather-model forecast, not a measurement taken on the mountain: it says how much snow is expected to fall. Forecast: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Data fetched 15 August, 05:26.

| night | -4° | -7° | -9° | -6° | -5° | -2° |
This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift
Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.
- 1 within 300 m
- 10 within 1 km
- 58 places in the valley
The closest one stands 221 m from a lift.

Is Flaine (Grand Massif) worth it?
Flaine did not grow from a mountain village -- it was designed in the 1960s by Marcel Breuer, an architect of the Bauhaus school, and the whole place stands in raw concrete to a single modernist plan. To some it is the ugliest resort in the Alps; to others a work of listed architecture. It sits in a high, north-facing bowl in the Grand Massif above Sallanches.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap the Flaine side alone comes to about 103 km of pistes, inside the larger Grand Massif that links it to Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt. The balance is easy and intermediate; this is terrain where beginners and mid-level skiers get the most out of it, while stronger skiers cross to the neighbouring valleys.
The bowl's north aspect and its height give Flaine a reputation for reliable snow -- the runs can still be skiable when lower resorts are going bare. The season usually runs from December to April.
The price we give is a six-day adult ticket for the whole Grand Massif -- €378 from the 2026/27 rate list (checked 13 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,325 km from Wrocław, 1,489 from Katowice and 1,564 from Kraków.
