Runs by difficulty

  • blue 26.4 km
  • red 13.6 km
  • black 9.0 km

The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

The colours under the axis show school-holiday traffic per week of winter 2026/2027, from the holidays chapter — the curve is a long-term average, the traffic is this one season. A green band marks a quiet week in a month with at least 70 % of the snowiest month’s snowfall. This season: 30 Nov – 20 Dec, 1 Mar – 14 Mar.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

  • 0 within 300 m
  • 27 within 1 km
  • 209 places in the valley

The closest one stands 330 m from a lift.

Is Cortina d'Ampezzo worth it?

Cortina d'Ampezzo lies in the heart of the Dolomites, in the province of Belluno, and carries the nickname "Queen of the Dolomites". In 2026 it co-hosted the Winter Olympics alongside Milan -- the women's events were held here. The town is ringed by the jagged walls of the Tofana, Cristallo and Faloria.

In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 49 km of pistes on the slopes around the town, and the Dolomiti Superski pass opens access to a far larger network of valleys. The runs are mostly intermediate and sunny, with that Dolomite scenery behind them that is half the draw here.

The slopes reach high into the rock massifs of the Dolomites, and snowmaking closes out the season. It usually runs from December to April.

The price we give is a one-day adult Dolomiti Superski ticket -- €86 from the high-season rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,041 km from Wrocław, 865 from Katowice and 941 from Kraków.
