Runs by difficulty
- blue 63.0 km
- red 31.1 km
- black 5.4 km
The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

How much snow is forecast
No snowfall is forecast for the days ahead — computed for 2,800 m above sea level.
This is a weather-model forecast, not a measurement taken on the mountain: it says how much snow is expected to fall. Forecast: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Data fetched 15 August, 05:26.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Is Val Cenis worth it?
Val Cenis lies in the Haute-Maurienne in Savoie, near the Italian border below the Mont Cenis pass. The resort is known for "L'Escargot" -- the longest green run in France, which winds down from the upper slopes all the way to the village, giving beginners a descent they would have to earn elsewhere.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 100 km of pistes, a fair amount for such a quiet, uncrowded corner of the Alps. The runs are mostly easy and intermediate, across broad, sunny terrain above the Maurienne valley.
The runs reach around 2,800 m and the village sits at nearly 1,440 m, so the vertical is large and the altitude gives reliable snow. The season usually runs from December to April.
The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- €49.50 from the high-season rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,382 km from Wrocław, 1,470 from Katowice and 1,546 from Kraków.
