Runs by difficulty
- blue 159.0 km
- red 46.6 km
- black 43.6 km
The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

How much snow is forecast
No snowfall is forecast for the days ahead — computed for 1,090 m above sea level.
This is a weather-model forecast, not a measurement taken on the mountain: it says how much snow is expected to fall. Forecast: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Data fetched 15 August, 05:26.

| night | -3° | -7° | -9° | -8° | -6° | -3° |
This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift
Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.
- 9 within 300 m
- 24 within 1 km
- 60 places in the valley
The closest one stands 144 m from a lift.

Is Trysil worth it?
Trysil is Norway's largest ski resort. Trysilfjellet rises as a lone cone above the valley, with runs dropping off it on every side, so whatever the wind there is usually a sheltered face to ski. This is a family resort in the Scandinavian mould — wide, calm, and heavy on beginner terrain.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 134 km of pistes, with a clear majority of easy runs — there are more blues and greens here than everything else combined. A few blacks give stronger skiers something to do, but the core of the offer is broad, gentle slope.
The slopes lie low, between about 415 and 1,090 m, but Trysil makes up for it with latitude: far north it is cold and the snow holds a long time. The season usually runs from November to April, longer than at lower Alpine resorts.
SkiStar sells the ski pass dynamically — the price depends on the date and how early you buy, so no single figure would be true. The prices are in Norwegian kroner and we do not convert them; check with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is long: about 1,916 km from Wrocław, 2,092 from Katowice, 2,167 from Kraków.
