Runs by difficulty

  • blue 23.7 km
  • red 24.1 km
  • black 7.7 km

The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

  • 61 within 300 m
  • 217 within 1 km
  • 331 places in the valley

The closest one stands 74 m from a lift.

Is Saas-Fee worth it?

Saas-Fee lies in Valais, at the foot of the Dom massif -- the highest peak wholly within Switzerland -- ringed by thirteen four-thousanders. The village is car-free, and here the skiing comes straight off the glacier: the top station stands at nearly 3,500 m, with the revolving Allalin restaurant at the summit.

In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 56 km of pistes, mostly on and below the glacier. The runs are mixed, easy and intermediate, and the glacier setting means reliable snow and the chance to ski in summer too.

The vertical here is large -- from 3,462 m at the top to around 1,650 m in the village. The downhill season is long, and the glacier can be open almost year-round.

The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- 83 CHF from the high-season rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,157 km from Wrocław, 1,309 from Katowice and 1,385 from Kraków.
