Rudawy (Krušné hory)

Runs by difficulty

  • blue 36.0 km
  • red 30.4 km
  • black 5.9 km

The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Places to stay by the lift

Distance is measured in a straight line to the base station of the nearest lift. No booking site publishes that number — it comes from matching accommodation against lift geometry.

  • 3 within 300 m
  • 83 within 1 km
  • 417 places in the valley

The closest one stands 32 m from a lift.

Is Klínovec worth it?

Klínovec is the highest peak of the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory), on the Czech-German border far to the west of the country. The resort is linked with German Fichtelberg across the border into one ski region, which makes it among the larger areas in this part of Central Europe.

In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 72 km of pistes -- the most of any Czech resort in this set, and more than a few Alpine ones. The runs are mostly easy and intermediate, wide and well covered by snowmaking, with plenty of beginner terrain.

The summit reaches around 1,240 m, modest for the Alps, but the Ore Mountains catch a good deal of snow and snowmaking covers almost the whole area. The season usually runs from December to March.

The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- 1,190 CZK from the counter rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 405 km from Wrocław, 584 from Katowice and 660 from Kraków.
