Isola 2000, France

Runs by difficulty
- blue 34.6 km
- red 14.8 km
- black 4.9 km
The split comes from OpenStreetMap. A run with no difficulty tag falls into none of the three bars, so they can add up to less than the resort total.

How much snow is forecast
No snowfall is forecast for the days ahead — computed for 2,588 m above sea level.
This is a weather-model forecast, not a measurement taken on the mountain: it says how much snow is expected to fall. Forecast: Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0. Data fetched 15 August, 05:26.

This is snowfall, not snow depth on the slope: it says how much usually falls in a given month, not how much lies there. The measuring point sits close to the valley floor, so higher up it snows more.

Is Isola 2000 worth it?
Isola 2000 lies in the Maritime Alps of southern France, barely an hour from Nice and the Mediterranean -- the closest ski resort in the Alps to the sea. It was built from scratch high in the mountains, at around 2,000 m, and to that altitude it owes its mix of southern sun and reliable snow.
In our measurement from OpenStreetMap it comes to about 54 km of pistes above the resort. The runs are mostly easy and intermediate, on open, treeless terrain exposed to the sun of the Côte d'Azur.
The resort begins high and the lifts reach higher still, so despite the southern position the snow holds well. The season usually runs from December to April.
The price we give is a one-day adult ticket -- €44 from the high-season rate list (checked 14 August 2026). Check prices with the operator before you travel. The drive from Poland is, per OpenStreetMap, about 1,450 km from Wrocław, 1,515 from Katowice and 1,591 from Kraków.
